big data is the DJ alias of scientist and artist Sean Minhui Tashi Chua. With a background in orchestral and latin percussion, he plays drumwork, big-room ambient and small-brain IDM, recently in a hybrid form combining DJing, electronics and live instrumentation. Emerging from Australian doof culture, he has ties to spaces such as Sideway (RIP) and MONA, alongside a wider practice in performance and commissioned sound work.
