Open Call: Residency for sound artists at Vestre

This spring, we are inviting sound artists to work in our space, Vestre.

Vestre – visningsrom for interdisiplinær og eksperimentell kunst is an exhibition space focused on sonic and performative art.

You will have the opportunity to create an 8-channel sound work in the space during a 10-day residency. We will do our best to accommodate the needs of your work and provide the technical equipment required.

We have two available periods:

The first residency period runs from April 13th to 22nd. The exhibition will open on April 23rd.

The second residency period runs from May 20th to 28th. The exhibition will open on May 29th.

We offer a small fee, as well as support from an exhibition technician.

The artist will be responsible for keeping the exhibition open, and opening hours can be decided in collaboration with the artist.

To apply, please email info@ekko.no with the subject line “OpenCall2026” and attach a sound sample and a plan for your work in the space. We welcome both ongoing projects and completed works.

The application deadline is March 29th, 2026.
