The Siberian taste maker is well known for her musically uncompromising energetic DJ performances, where she plays music most others wouldn’t dare and for her sincere connection to the audience. This unique feeling together with a badass attitude and charismatic stage persona have earned Nina Kraviz headliner status at all the reputable festivals worldwide.
Her music is characterized by hypnotic beats and firm rhythms under floating, airy vocals alternating with monotone spoken word. It is intense, simple music, but with mysterious soundscapes lying hidden beneath.
She played a number of gigs at the Propaganda club, where, she made a name for herself, releasing her very first tracks on Rekid records, “Pain in the Ass”. This was followed up in 2011 by the single “Ghetto Kraviz”, a true club classic, which paved the way for her self-titled debut album the following year. In 2013, she released her second solo album, and has since contributed to a number of cooperative albums with other artists through both Rekids and !K7, a sublabel of the music company DJ Kicks. She runs and releases music on her own label трип (Trip), started up in 2014, where she releases a number of varied, but close-knit musicians. Here she released her most recent record, a three-track EP “Pochuvstui” earlier this year.
In addition to an impressive catalogue of releases, Kraviz has been extremely active since the beginning of the decade, touring extensively throughout both Europe and Japan. She has played at Boiler Room and Berghain in Berlin, Dekmantel, Pukkelpop, club concerts and enormous festivals, and one can surely say her fanbase just keeps on growing. It is a great pleasure to invite her to Østres intimate stage for an unforgettable night.
