CASIOKIDS PRESENTERER: «SHUFFLE»
We are proud to finally be able to present this super exciting project wich also is designed for kids. One of Norways most interesting electronic bands, Casiokids, in collaboration with choreographer and dancer Henriette Slorer presents «SHUFFLE».Casiokids has toured in a frantic tempo the last few years as well as receiving great reviews for their latest record “Topp Stemning På Lokal Bar”. The band is known for their unique approach to electronic music, especially their ability to engage across the genres. Their music is as popular at the Roskilde Festival as in kinder gardens in Bergen.
Henritette Slorer is a former dancer from Carte Blanche where she received the critic award in 2003. Since 2008 she has been working as a freelancer for a bunch of different projects.
This is how the participants themselves describe this project in short:
After music files and streaming has taken over large amounts of the music marked, the intelligent software that choose the order of the music that you listen to out from what the user prefers and habits has become more advanced. The shuffle function is the real creator of mix tapes, a string of songs put together on the ground of how many plays or brutal rejections when the song appears in iTunes, Spotify or other program. Casiokids has brought with them choreographer Henriette Slorer and dancer Sigrid Hirsch Kopperdal and together they create a gigantic music player(fæl oversettelse? Hva blir mer rett?) so that they can explore how such a software works.
Now. Bring your own iPod or MP3-player to the show.
